This website bears my name (an alias for my full name, Richard Timothy Cunningham, which is longer than it needs to be), and I'm a retired American. It shouldn't matter, but I'm a Caucasian male. My wife, Josephine, is Filipino. She's only nine months younger than me.

I'm Twice Retired

I retired from the military in 1998, and for social security purposes in 2022. The only kind of work I've done since 2006 is writing articles for various blogs, including my own. I stopped blogging for money in February 2022.

Josie and I moved to the Philippines in 2006. Our younger son moved to the Philippines several months before we did. He returned to the United States in 2012. Since then, Josie and I have lived alone in a three-bedroom, three-bath house. We rarely have enough guests to fill every room.

Josie and I visit our children and their families in the United States on occasion. The longest period (more than three years) was during the COVID-19 pandemic because of travel restrictions.

The Purpose of This Website

Although I previously made money blogging, I won't be attempting to do so again. My domain name cost me very little, and my hosting is free. The main purpose is to write articles to myself with information I may need more than once. I can't rely on memory anymore.

The secondary purpose is to share my thoughts on things that are important or interesting to me. I have no idea if anyone will ever read what I write, but that's okay. It isn't necessary. I write like I'm talking to someone, even if no one's reading it.
